AMP Wire Ltd design andmanufacture Wire Mesh Radiator Covers with two major principles in mind:
- To prevent human contact with the hot metal of the actual radiator
- To not detract or cause any heat loss/output from the Radiator.
Wire Mesh Radiator Covers prevent physical contact by encapsulating the Radiator and forms a barrier that does not hold heat itself so is safe to touch, allows the heat to circulate but also allows full access to the radiator valves.
Wire Mesh Radiator Covers are manufactured from 25mm pitch wire mesh allowing over 80% of hot air movement through the radiator cover. This rate of circulation compares very favourably with other types of solid radiator covers such as MDF or costly sheet metal types that restrict far more.
Wire Mesh Radiator Covers meet all the known Health and Safety requirements and are especially recommended for use in establishments that care for the vulnerable and infirm, such as Schools, Children’s Nurseries, homes for the Elderly or the less able.

Custom/Bespoke design :
Wire Mesh Radiator Covers are normally constructed of a robust 25mm pitch mesh but for special installations/circumstances a different pitch is available. For example, some Children’s Nurseries insist on a smaller gauge wire mesh.
